The magazine  is an effective professional-oriented information resource intended to publish the results of the latest research in genetics and breeding of animals.

The main objective of the magazine - coverage of the latest results of scientific and practical research of domestic and foreign scientists on modern problems of fundamental and applied genetics of animals, as well as all the tasks of selection and breeding of farm animals, the solution of which contributes to the optimal implementation of their genetic potential.

Currently journal "Genetics and breeding of animals" -  demanded the publication, addressed to a wide range of professionals working in the field of animal husbandry, including practicing breeders, veterinarians, researchers (geneticists, biologists), experts in feeding, reproduction and immunogenetics, developers of drugs veterinary medicine and supplementary food.

The magazine regularly publishes analytical reports covering the current state of experimental and clinical research in the field of genetics and breeding of animals. Most of the published articles is a result of specific genetic and biological research. Part of the article is devoted to the prevention and treatment of diseases, the organization complete and balanced animal feed. The magazine also published a description of current breeding techniques aimed at practical implementation, or are actively used in everyday practice, highlights news from the professional life of the community (information on planned and hosted a scientific-practical conferences and seminars, educational programs, memorable dates and anniversaries of eminent specialists ).

Every room "Genetics and breeding of animals" on average 10-12 articles published. In the year goes 4 rooms, each volume is about 80-90 pages. The magazine is always open to new ideas, creating a broad scientific discussion platform for professionals.
